The Leela Ashtamudi, A Raviz Hotel

The service was excellent, and the rooms were clean. The food was good, and the chef prepared dishes per our request, even if they weren't on the menu. All the staff members were very kind and considerate. The facilities were good, with complimentary high tea and boat rides. On the last day, they let our three kids eat for free at the buffet. View in from the hotel was excellent. My only suggestion would be to improve the basketball court and add more activities.

Skip Leela Ashtamudi if you want the Leela experience. I’m currently staying here and the experience has been average. The hotel is run by a group of amateurs who have no clue abt anything. We’ve stayed at Leela properties before and this one is the worst by every standards. Hallways are poorly maintained, carpets are dirty, room has dust, common restrooms in the restaurant has dirt and no tissue paper. Staff doesn’t have answers. They don’t call back for laundry queries. We had to follow up 4-5 times to even get a cab to pick us up at the airport. Skip this hotel. It’s not at Leela level at all. Glad we chose to spend only 2 night here and 3 at Kovalam Leela Edit: I just walked into the corridor where the staff was openiny complaining while I walked by that I was the one who complained abt the room being dirty. Here’s the thing they didn’t know, i understand Tamil and Malayalam. Disgusting behaviour by staff to openly talk abt a guest who complained abt the situation of the room. As a guest I no longer feel safe in this hotel. Apparently you will get spoken abt and god knows what else they’ll do in your room if you complain abt them. Staff attitude is disrespectful and disgusting.
